Buy to let mortgage

Well ok, but if you are new to the buy to let business you really need a broker or specialist consultant to source a selection of the best mortgages on offer at the time, because without him or her this is a minefield which could easily blow up in your face.
Your broker should ideally be independent, or at least be part of a company of independent mortgage brokers rather than one who is tied to just one lender. We have no personal objection to tied brokers but they just can't provide the often extensive range of mortgage products which are produced outside their own companies, so they are not for you on this occasion.
Generally your broker should have access to any buy to let mortgage products which are available on the high street, and on offer from more exclusive sources, and their value to you is huge if you only employ them for this reason.
Again, your broker/consultant will shield you from most of the hassle involved in sourcing your buy to let mortgage, and he/she will be checking out the best buy tables, the Internet and other prime lenders on your behalf, which allows you in the meantime to lead a relatively normal existance. Now you don't have to tramp the streets looking for the best deal as the initial stage at least can be done with a 'phone call to the broker, during which he/she will ask some pertinent questions to aid them in their quest on your behalf, and at the same time they will be able to explain to you what buy to let mortgage options are available to you at that time.
A short time later your consultant will contact you and provide you with your very own buy to let mortgage illustration which allows you to consider your options and look in more depth at the mortgages available. If at that point you are happy with the quote then we can then submit your mortgage application to the lender.
NB Don't be surprised if there is substantially more choice in the mortgage products on offer than you believed possible - be guided by your own common sense and your broker/consultant.
